| The album features 11 roots rocking songs all written by Dawson so expect hard rocking bar room blues, Americana and some classic rock & roll! The album features Dawson‘s live band The Dissenters with the red hot Howard Smith on lead and slide guitar, Steve Cooke on bass and Graham Summers on Drums.There are a host of guest players featured on the album including the wonderful Sally Barker on backing and duet vocals, Lee Spreadbury on organ and piano, Mick Ridgway on blues harp, Caroline O‘Donell on Accordion and an all-star brass section featuring Gaz Birtles on alto sax (Beautiful South) Drew Stansall on tenor sax (The Specials) and John Harris (Welsh Champion) on trumpet.Dawson & The Dissenters will be taking the new album to gigs and festivals throughout 2012. |
